Impire imposes itself with a metal-tinged gameplay trailer

Impire is being developed by Cyanide Montreal, a new spin-off studio from Cyanide. That’s handy to know, because it means this a team separate from the one which developed the Game of Thrones RPG, Confrontation and the various Blood Bowls.

The title will be bringing its distinctly Dungeon Keeper-looking self to the surface in ‘Q1 2013′ which is … well, around about now, really. It could pop up any time between now and late March. By the sounds of the new trailer, it might bring some metal music with it.

While only a minute long, the footage does include a bit of gameplay. There’s some fightin’ some spellcasting and some general larking about.
