Evil West Delayed November

Evil West gets delayed to November

More time in the oven.

Evil West has impressed plenty of people so far with its gory action set in the Wild West, but those eager to play the game will have to wait a bit longer. Earlier today, Focus Entertainment and Flying Wild Hog announced that Evil West has been delayed to “ensure that the game reaches its full potential.” Previously the game was set to release on September 20, but with this delay, Evil West will release on November 22.

At this point, delays aren’t anything unusual in the game industry. In fact, we saw another high-profile title get hit with a delay last week with Hogwarts Legacy. Recent reactions at PAX East indicate that players had a good time with Evil West, though, so it’s at least on good footing.

Evil West gets hit with a delay

Evil West‘s delay is unfortunate, but more development time should make for a better product. And it’s certainly a unique game in more ways than one. First and foremost, it looks to have that same satisfying action present in Flying Wild Hog’s other games like Shadow Warrior. It also seems to have a fairly unique premise, too. In Evil West, players assume the role of Jesse Rentier, a vampire hunter looking for blood. With a vast array of weapons and skills to make use of, it’s gearing up to be a great time.

In June, Focus Entertainment released an extended gameplay trailer that gave us a better look at Evil West. It starts with a run-of-the-mill shoot out in a small town, before showing off the darker side of the game. From underground caverns with ancient architecture to claustrophobic forests, there certainly seems to be a lot to explore. The trailer also showed off plenty of combat and the abilities that Jesse can make use of. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen it already.

Evil West‘s launches for PC on November 22, so get ready to hunt some vampires by then.
