Battlefield Play4Free enters open beta phase

Battlefield Play4Free has now entered its open beta phase, allowing all interested players to give this mash-up of Battlefield 2 maps, Bad Company 2 weapons and free-to-play MMO finance model a try.
There are no costs involved in setting up an account – though if you wish to use a new solider in the second open slot you’re given, that will require some spending. Upgrading weapons or your cosmetic appearance will also take some cash.
At present, Battlefield Play4Free has three maps to mess around on: Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Strike At Karkand.
Here’s where you want to be to sign up. I’ve been playing this myself over the weekend (in closed beta) so look out for an IncGamers vedict in the next few days.
