Delayed wonder: Age of Wonders 3 pushed to 2014

Age of Wonders III

The chaps over at ShackNews have noticed a posting on the official Age of Wonders 3 site, confirming that the game will not be making an appearance this autumn. Instead, the team hopes to get it finished by early 2014 in order to allow “a bit more time creating all the features and content.”

In the same post, it’s noted that this will be the largest game in the Age of Wonders series to date, so there’s probably a need to snatch a few extra months of development here and there. The game will still be making a (press) appearance at this year’s GamesCom, however. There, Triumph Studios will demonstrate some of the different classes present in the title.

Earlier this year, we conducted a Q&A session with Triumph’s Lenart Sas. Have a read of that, here. Below, you can find a video of gameplay shown off in March.
