Arma excited: Arma 3 dated for September, gets LIMITED DELUXE EDITION

Arma3 beauty shot

Those happy chaps and chap-esses over at Bohemia Interactive and Koch Media have announced that Arma 3 will hit the PC on 12 September.

As is now standard for every game ever made, the game will also be available in a shiny Digital Deluxe Edition form as well as a boxed Limited Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition will cost you £39.99 – a tenner more than the standard edition, and the prices of both will apparently go up at launch – and I have no idea how much the Limited Deluxe Edition will cost you. It’s listed rather cheaply on a few retail websites (£29.84 on Shopto, right now) though.

The Limited Deluxe Edition of Arma 3 apparently comes in a “hologram slip case” with a key card, a map of Altis, and a “printed game control overview”, which sounds pretty useful for idiots like us that could barely work out how to turn on the headlights of a vehicle.

It’ll also pack in “digital content”, which I guess is what will be in the Digital Deluxe Edition – a soundtrack, a “digital tactical guide”, “digital maps”, and a copy of the artist formerly known as Operation Flashpoint, which now goes by Arma: Cold War Assault.

In short, if you’re a fan of getting shot by over long distances by AI soldiers you didn’t even know were there, 12 September is the day to mark on your calendars.
