Bethesda have released four new screenshots for Shinji Mikami’s upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within. Expect gore.

The four shots show rather different bits and pieces. One has the protagonist walking through a room strung up with corpses and carcasses. One has the protagonist gazing at a medical-looking room with bloody handprints up the walls. One has the protagonist being startled by a pair of hands. One shows a hammer-wielding villain who appears to have been taking fashion advice on headwear from Jigsaw’s victims.

Have a gander at them, above and below. The Evil Within is due out sometime in 2014.
