That’s the wonderful thing about PC gaming, there’s always someone who’s willing to take a game and try to add features and improve on the original version if possible.
The popular truck simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 is getting the mod treatment through a new multiplayer mod that that’s being developed mod maker ETS2MP. Today he released a new FAQ which explains how the mod functions reiterating that the mod will be free, the fact that it’s not finished just yet, trucks will be upgradeable, and there’s even voice chat for that CB radio experience all truckers love.
If the rigours for actually driving a truck at some ungodly hour is just too much to bare then this could be the mod for you an your buddies as you truck your way around in a convoy.
This mod does sound fantastic as there will be custom maps, a “meeting point” for special events, and you join the Virtual Trucking Companies created for the ETS2 community. This mod should take virtual truck driving to a new level.
There’s no release date just yet but it does sound like it could be close following a testing period. Here’s a new trailer to demo what’s coming up.
