League of Legends Team Builder testing starts today

Riot continue on their mission to make League of Legends as accessible and user friendly as possible by launching the beta test for the new Team Builder feature.

For a limited time there’s a new queue where players can select their role, Champion and position before hooking up with a team. Teamwork is key in League of Legends so hopefully this might go some way to creating more organised games.

Testing of the Team Builder will only run for 48 hours and will run between today and the 7 March. This is a staggered launch across regions so don’t panic if it’s not appeared in your region right away.

The Team Builder will not replace other queues and Riot say it’s a “complete re-design of champion select”. Features that they decide work well in Team Builder may be added to other queues in the future.

Wait times will initially be hit and miss as the new system goes live and players using the new Team Builder system will only be matched with other players also using the system.

A small FAQ outlining this feature test can be checked out on the LoL site if you’re confused by any of this.
