A further delay has struck the release date of Dark Souls 2 on PC, but only in the UK and only in the case of boxed copies. Concerns about another delay to the PC version arose earlier today when Amazon UK shoppers started to received emails with a new release date of 2 May.

MCV has received a response from publisher Namco Bandai about the delay, which confirms that it will affect physical copies in the UK.

It will be delayed unfortunately and we apologise to UK customers. This is due to a manufacturing issue with packaging. To confirm this will only affect the UK boxed launch.

All other versions of the game (physical and digital in other territories, digital in the UK) should be unaffected, according to Namco. That means they will be available from 25 April as previously stated.

IncGamers is still waiting on Dark Souls 2 review code, but has been assured that some is on the way “soon.”
