Crytek are eager to show you their Warface, as the free-to-play multiplayer FPS has just popped up on Steam.
It’s interesting timing, considering the rumours currently surrounding Crytek’s finances, but it’s on Steam now regardless of any financial difficulties they may be having. For those who’ve forgotten, Warface is Crytek’s modern-day FPS pitting the amusingly named Warface against the evil “military juggernaut” Blackwood. It offers both co-op missions that let you and your friends pit your skills against the AI, and all sorts of versus modes for taking on other human beings in man-shooting matches. You’ve got four classes to pick from, a decent amount of mobility, and a variety of co-op actions to perform.
We had a go of the Warface alpha back in March 2013, and you can have a look at what we thought of it back then right here. I have no idea quite how much it’s changed since then, but I’m going to guess it’s a bit more expansive. Hopefully the GFACE social media/login system is considerably less annoying by now, too.
