Activision Blizzard: New Bond, Hawk & More in 2010

During tonight’s earnings call, Activision Blizzard confirmed some of the titles and dates set for 2010 releases. The biggest news this evening was that StarCraft 2 has now been delayed until 2010 but there were other snippets of information to come from tonight’s earning’s call.According to CEO Mike Griffith, a new Bond game will be released next year along with a new Spider-Man title and new Tony Hawk. Raven’s Singularity will also see a 2010 release along with StarCraft 2.When probed about the possibility of two Blizzard titles being released in 2010, StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3, Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime would not give a definitive answer on whether Diablo 3 would be hitting retailers next year adding:”We haven’t announced any release dates on any future title. And I’ll also reiterate that the StarCraft into next year does not impact the schedule. So it would be correct to conclude that you could expect two releases of Blizzard next year. But I will not make any conclusion as to what those titles will be.”Other releases slated for 2010 include Shrek 4 and How to Train Your Dragon, as well as a mysterious title described as an “innovation property” in the action genre.
