The Bard’s Tale is set to continue as Brian Fargo reveals plans for the new game at PAX South.

Fargo sounded pleased that the long running Bard’s Tale series will continue with The Bard’s Tale IV, tweeting “It’s official.. And I’m very personally excited to be working on this. More details to follow.”
Until those “more details” are forthcoming, information is scarce about what the game will include. For now, it’s know that there there will be turn-based combat and that the game will be a sequel to The Bard’s Tale III.
InXile will also be returning to Kickstarter to fund the project after the fund-raising success of Wasteland 2 and Tides of Numenera.
