The Horde Hunt event is one of the longest events that Modern Warfare 3 has seen, and there are multiple tiers of rewards to earn across all game modes. It’s a perfect match for the new Walking Dead collaboration, which also has more content coming later in the season.

To earn Horde Hunt rewards, all you need to do is kill Zombies in any Call of Duty game mode. Playing Zombies in MW3 works, but you can also try the new multiplayer Hordepoint mode or jump into Warzone since the undead hordes have found their way to Fortune’s Keep as well.

When you defeat a Zombie, it’ll drop bones that can be collected to earn free rewards. The more Zombie bones you earn, the more stuff you’ll get. As the event progresses, Featured Zombies will be added to the mix. Killing Featured Zombies like Hellhounds and Mimics and collecting their skulls will earn you even more free rewards, including a cool skin.

How to Get the Killshot Skin in MW3

If you complete all Featured Zombie challenges during the Horde Hunt event, you’ll unlock the Killshot skin for Swagger. This is one of the coolest even skins that has been offered in MW3 and Warzone, so make sure you check back every week to take out new Featured Zombies and complete every challenge when they become available.

Horde Hunt Event Schedule

The Horde Hunt event began with the launch of Season Two on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. It will last for a little over three weeks, ending on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

At the beginning of the event, the only undead enemies available are base Zombies and Armored Zombies. More Featured Zombie types will be released with corresponding challenges as the event progresses. Hellhounds will be added first and then Mimics will cap things off. There’s no official release window for the new Zombie types, but we expect new ones to be released every week.
