Lords of the Fallen: All new game plus modifiers

The advanced game modifiers is what the fans have been waiting for, and I am stoked to say it is finally here. Advanced game modifiers are a great way to change things up and customize your playthrough in Lords of the Fallen. They can be used to increase or lower the difficulty, remove vestiges, and even randomize the loot you find in the world. Below is a full list of all advanced game modifiers in Lords of the Fallen.

New Game Plus ModifierEffect
Withered HealingAll healing received is Withered Healing, and must be confirmed by dealing damage to enemies.
Randomized LootLoot dropped by enemies, and found in the world, is randomized. Does not affect quest and progression items, nor unique boss items.
Pre-Upgraded LootWeapons, shields and catalysts found as loot from enemies, or in the world, will come pre-upgraded based on your player level.
Randomized EnemiesEnemies encountered in the world now appear in a random order. Does not impact named boss enemies.
More EnemiesThe world contains significantly more enemies.
IronmanDying in Umbral resets your current playthrough, and you will awaken at the start once again. The world progression is reset, but player progression and inventory is retained. Certain scripted moments are excluded from this.
Tremendous Vestige DecayAll Vestiges, except for a rare few, have withered away.
Extensive Vestige DecayMany Vestiges have withered away, often leaving you without rest for long stretches.
Minor Vestige DecayMinor amount of Vestiges have withered away.
No Vestige DecayNo Vestige has withered away, leaving you all possible places of respite.

The good news is that you won’t have to choose between one of these new game plus modifiers since it has been confirmed that you can toggle on more than one per playthrough. If you decide that you don’t want game modifiers active anymore, you unfortunately have to restart your playthrough from scratch.

As you can see, there are tons of options to fully customize your playthrough in Lords of the Fallen. If you aren’t sold yet, check out the official trailer for the Master of Fate update below.

How to select advanced game modifiers in Lords of the Fallen

Players can only select the modifiers at the start of a new game. In other words, you can’t select them on your current playthrough. Trust me, I know. This was a huge bummer to me too.
