AOC Unveils New Ultrawide Monitor

AOC is no stranger to the ultrawide monitor market, so it’s no surprise that the company has announced yet another installment in its ever-growing catalog, this time bringing a 35-inch, 200Hz model that it’s hoping will bring competitive gamers along with it.

Retailing for at €2509.  AGON AG353UCG ultrawide gaming display features a native UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution along with a 1800R curve to create a more immersive experience for gamers. In addition to the UWQHD display and the 200Hz refresh rate, the monitor features Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate which offers HDR, the highest-possible resolutions from Nvidia, 1000 nits brightness, and ultra-low latency.

The display features two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs as well as a single HDMI 2.0 input. It also comes standard with four — yes, four — USB 3.1 inputs as well as a microphone input and audio output.

What AOC seems to be focusing on with the monitor is a high refresh rate to improve gaming performance, stating:

“Upgrading to an AG353UCG means an investment for all kinds of video game genres. The 200 Hz refresh rate provides competitive-level speed not only for racing, sim, action, MMORPG, or 5v5 arena games, but even for the competitive FPS player. The transition times of the individual pixels are so low that they allow the panel to display 200 frames per second without artefacts.”

Best of the rest

While the display specifications are obviously the most important part of any monitor, AOC is offering extra benefits to the AG353UCG. The monitor comes with two headset holders — one on each side — to offer players an easy storage option. On top of that, the monitor features a ring of RGB light on the backside, is VESA mount ready, includes a mount with a built-in handle and cable management capabilities, and features an easy-to-use five-way joystick for settings control.

Other key specs include:

  • Response time — 2 ms
  • Panel type — VA
  • Backlight — WLED
  • Color SRGB coverage — 128
  • Active Screen Area —  819.408 mm x 345.888 mm mm
  • Viewing Angle (CR10)178/178 º
  • Aspect ratio21:9
  • Bezel type — Frameless
  • Net weight — 13.75Kg (~30lbs)

The new AOC AGON AG353UCG launches in Europe this month.
