Best Eeveelution in Pokemon Go explained – All Eeveelutions ranked

Eevee is one of the most unique Pokemon in the entire roster, with an ever-growing list of Eeveelutions it can become. There are creative ways to force Pokemon Go to give specific Eevees, but even the simplest requires a ton of resources. With this in mind, a smart Trainer is an informed one. Let me show you the Best Eeveelution in Pokemon Go explained – All Eeveelutions ranked.

If you’re unsure of how to get specific Eeveelutions, make sure you check the link above. Pokemon Go is a game of 2 parts. We have PvP in the form of league events, and we also have PvE. PvE offerings are more numerous and cover things like Raids and Team Rocket battles.

For the latter, you can make most Eeveelutions work, although a couple rise to the top. PvP is a different beast altogether, and I would only pick one alongside dozens of other powerful Pokemon. Here’s my ranked list, followed by my reasoning.

All Eeveelutions ranked

S Rank

  • Umbreon

A Rank

  • Sylveon
  • Glacion

B Rank

  • Leafeon
  • Flareon
  • Jolteon
  • Vaporeon
  • Espeon

Before you summon the Team Rocket mob on me, let me explain why Eeveelutions are rated as they are.

S Rank
Umbreon is the only Eeveelution I would reliably take into PvP. While it’s not top-tier by any means, it’s surprisingly bulky and can spam attacks. Snarl is a great Fast Move and quickly builds energy. You can spend that energy on strong Charged Moves like Foul Play and even Psychic.

You won’t win every fight with Umbreon at your side, but there’s more to this Dark type than meets the eye.

A Rank
Sylveon and Glaceon aren’t amazing for PvP, but they both have uses in PvE content. Sylveon is an absolute nightmare for Dragons, thanks to its Fairy typing. Charm and Dazzling Gleam are a great combination for a reliable Raid Pokemon.

If you need some Ice support, you can’t go wrong with Glaceon. Frost Breath and Ice Shard are fantastic Fast Moves, and Avalanche is a decent Charged Move. You can certainly catch some opponents off guard with these Pokemon in PvP, but experienced Trainers will eat you for breakfast.

B-Tier
Bringing up the rear are the remaining Eeveelutions. This rating doesn’t mean these Eeveelutions are bad; It just means there are better choices in a game with over 900 Pokemon. Still, if you can lean on type advantage, any of the B-Tier Eeveelutions can take on Team Rocket and some friendly PvP. These Pokemon are also suitable for mid-tier Raids.

Don’t take it personally if I’ve put your favorite in the lowest tier. My favorite Eeveelution is Jolteon, and even though it’s not the best, I’ll still bring it to zap water types whenever I can.
