The ISO Hemlock is a phenomenal Assault Rifle thanks to its punchy damage profile and minimal Recoil. Warzone 2‘s new ranked mode may still be in its infancy, but the ISO Hemlock is already establishing itself as a meta contender. In short, you need it! If you want to build this Assault Rifle, let me show you the best ISO Hemlock Loadout for MW2 and Warzone 2.

ISO Hemlock Attachments

  • Barrel: Fielder-T50
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag
  • Optic: SZ Lonewolf Optic

Equipment

  • Lethal: Drill Charge
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Suggested Perks

  • Ghost
  • Tracker
  • Overkill
  • Resupply

As the ISO Hemlock performs so well at mid-long range, our Attachment choices aim to increase our effectiveness at that distance even further.

The Fielder-T50 Barrel gives us increased Damage Range and Bullet Velocity for securing those distant kills. We also gain Recoil Control at the expense of ADS Speed and negligible stats like Hipfire Control.

The Harbinger D20 is a superb Muzzle offering the same Damage Range and Bullet Velocity buffs as the Barrel. The Harbinger gives Sound Suppression and a little extra Recoil Smoothness, even if we don’t really need it. If you don’t have the Harbinger D20 unlocked, I recommend using the Echoless-80 instead. It offers the same buffs, just slightly less so than the Harbinger.

If you’ve read any of our other loadout guides, you’ll be used to seeing the FTAC Ripper 56 Underbarrel recommendation. The FTAC Ripper offers a huge buff to overall Accuracy and outshines every other Attachment in this slot.

The 45 Round Mag is essential for dropping multiple targets in Warzone 2. You can get away with the default in MW2, but not on Al Mazrah against armored opponents. Finally, the Optic is a personal preference, but I’ve been having success with the SZ Longwolf. This Optic provides a wide picture without obstructive housing.

You can mix up Equipment to your liking, but Drill Charges are great on Al Mazrah. Nothing gets a camper moving like an explosive burrowing through the walls, so they are ideal for clearing buildings. Smoke Grenades allow you to vanish if you’re caught in the open. While a Smokescreen doesn’t provide immediate combat benefits, it lets you disengage and re-engage at will.

Perks are interchangeable, so go with your favorites. I recommend at least keeping Ghost for Warzone. The moment you hear a UAV has been deployed; you’re at a disadvantage. You can work around it in MW2, but as Warzone is a Battle Royale, one gunfight is all it takes to remove you from the game.

Do I need to use the ISO Hemlock if it’s ‘Meta’?

I recommend at least trying the ISO Hemlock, as it’s ridiculously powerful. If you don’t like it or it doesn’t fit your playstyle, then you can absolutely pick something else. The TTK in MW2 and WZ2 is so fast you can make almost any weapon work. The ISO Hemlock offers a quick, consistent TTK that’s easy to control. If you prefer close-range fights, you’ll have the advantage against the Hemlock with most SMGs.
