Best Reactors in Starfield

Reactors may be one of the most important elements to your shipbuilding in Starfield. It not only controls the output of your power on your ship but also helps with hull and crew space. They can add a lot of weight, but a good reactor in Starfield is the real core of what changes a ship from good to great. These are the best reactors I think you should be looking out for in Starfield.

5 of the best reactors in Starfield

These are the reactors that are some of the best in Starfield. Of course, everyone’s builds and needs are different. However, these are the ones I like.

Fusor DC402

This reactor does require a level four Starfield pilot, but it is a great all-rounder. It can supply 34 Power, 5.09 repair rate, 102 health, 3 crew capacity, and 1,002 hull. This C-class reactor isn’t the cheapest, so it certainly isn’t an early-game reactor and will set you back a solid 62,510 Credits.

Z-Machine 2020 Reactor

If you’re looking for a low-form factor ship built for fighting and fast-paced combat, look no further than the Z-Machine 2020. This is a remarkably cheap reactor in Starfield at 17,000 credits and takes up very little space. The output isn’t massive, at only 16 power, but the hull boost is a massive 1100.

This is a class B part and requires a level 3 pilot, but the reactor is a benefit to any fighter class ship build in Starfield.

Theta Pinch C9 Reactor

The all-round stats on the Pinch C9 reactor put it solidly in many of the best reactor lists. It outputs a decent 30 power, adds an impressive 975 hull, and can contribute 3 to the crew count. The repair rate is at a fantastic 5.44 also, meaning you can keep ahead in battle.

However, it certainly isn’t the cheapest reactor on the Starfield market, at a rather high 56,620 Credits, so many sure you save before you get in into the Starfield shipbuilder.

SF40 Sheared Flow

As a C-class reactor in Starfield, it doesn’t get much better than the SF40 Sheared Flow. For the high price of 77,615 Credits, you will imbue your ship with 40 output power, 116 health, 1,314 hull, and a 5.80 repair rate. You can’t get much better for the class in Starfield if you have the pilot level and credits for the reactor.

Tokamak X-120S Reactor

If you want huge power output for almost no size and weight, then you should look to get your hands on the Tokamak X-120S reactor in Starfield. The A-Class reactor is very fragile, with only 30 health and a pathetic 480 hull strength. But, for its tiny 1x1x1 size and only 30 mass, the significant 28 power generation makes it a must-have for any fighter build.

This is a great reactor for any build looking to focus on speed and maneuverability in the open space of Starfield.
