Here are what I consider to be some of the best Fragments you can get your hands on for the Solar class in Destiny 2.

The 10 Best Solar Fragments in Destiny 2

These, of course, are all subjective. However, these are the Fragments I found to be most useful for my build and my play style. It is worth bearing in mind that I play as a Warlock and love grenades.

Ember of Combustion

Ignite is a fantastic bonus to have when you’re playing as the Solar class in Destiny 2. This fragment not only causes kills to create a Firesprite but also makes enemies ignite. When an enemy ignites, they explode, causing significant damage around them.

This fragment also provides +10 Strength to your guardian.

Ember of Blistering

I love grenades, which is why the Fragment Ember of Blistering has made it to the list. However, if you have a grenade solar build, chances are you have other ways of keeping the grenades constantly rolling in. Ember of Blistering grants grenade energy with every ignite. So, if you’re looking to get some more throwables, equip this fragment in Destiny 2.

Ember of Searing

If you’re big into your melee builds, then this Fragments is one of the best for your solar build in Destiny 2. The Fragment grants 20% melee energy on every defeated scorched enemy. With the right build, using solar weapons and Ember of Ashes, you can pretty much stay punching as long as you like. Who needs guns when you have fists? Along with the bonus to melee, this Fragment also grants +10 Recovery.

Ember of Mercy

As a warlock, it is partly your responsibility to take care of your team. The Ember of Mercy fragment is perfect for this in Destiny 2. By reviving an ally, you grant both yourself and your allies restoration. This is only active for two seconds but can be lengthened by Ember of Solace.

The buff is also gained when picking up firesprites. With certain builds, it is possible to have them drop almost constantly, making this Fragment very powerful. The fragment grants +10 Resilience.

Ember of Eruption

This Fragment in Destiny 2 increases your Ignites’ area of effect from eight to 12 meters. Paired with Fragments like Char, you can fill a room with nice crispy enemies. Ignite is easily one of the best ways to clear rooms full of Ads, so it is perfect for PvE. If you’re looking to farm XP or God Rolls, then the Ember of Eruption is a great choice. It also grants +10 Strength.

Ember of Ashes

Ember of Ashes works with everything else in a perfect Solar build. The Fragment grants far more stacks of scorch and makes it a lot easier to ignite enemies. Pretty much everything you will be playing with in Destiny 2 will want more scorch. The ignition of your enemies only goes on to cause more damage.

Ember of Solace

Although the Fragment below this one has a broader use and can be considered more powerful, Ember of Solace still deserves its place on the list. This Fragment will provide 50% more duration to both Radiant and Restoration effects. Any source of both of these buffs, whether they’re from your Guardian or not, can be buffed.

Ember of Empyrean

This buff has kind of made the Ember of Solace a little redundant, especially in PvE. By getting final blows with a solar weapon, your Guardian will now be granted extended duration to Restoration and Radiant effects. In PvE, this basically means you can have almost endless timers on both, provided someone, or you, have applied them in the first place. However, this Fragment does debuff your guardian in Destiny 2, providing a -10 Resilience.

Ember of Char

Ember of Char is a complete room cleaner. When an enemy ignites and explodes, they spread stacks of Scorch to all nearby enemies. The scorch also applies to the enemy that explodes. When paired with Ember of Ashes, this Fragment in Destiny 2 only becomes stronger.

Playing as a Solar Guardian is all about spreading as much fire damage as possible. Using Ember of Char will clear rooms faster than you can blink.

Ember of Resolve

If you’re lacking in restoration for your Guardian, then this is the Fragment for you in Destiny 2. With every grenade kill, you’re granted a chunk of HP. For players that need that extra little hit of health, then you can’t do much better. It is overpowered in PvE, as you can easily clear a room with grenades.

Ember of Torches

This fragment in Destiny 2 is the best way to make friends. By getting a kill with a powered melee attack, you grant everyone on your team a 25% damage boost in PvE and 10% in PvP. This is a huge buff to the team and can change the tide of any battle. Most builds should be running with this Fragment, and when used properly, it will make a huge difference. However, like most of the best Fragments, it comes with a boon. It will -10 Discipline to your Guardian.
