Diablo 4: Best Necromancer Vampiric Powers, ranked

The best Necromancer Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2 does come down to what build you’re using. In general, these are the best picks for Necromancer. I’ll specify which builds the best Necromancer Vampiric Powers are best used with, but you can’t go wrong with any of these 10 Vampiric Powers.

10. Resilience – All Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Two Eternity
  • You gain 1% Damage Reduction for each 2% Life you are missing.

Nobody likes playing at low Life in Diablo 4, but it’s going to happen at times if you are playing Necromancer. Resilience is a great Vampiric Power for Necromancers because they can benefit greatly from more Damage Reduction at lower Life. This will help you survive for longer regardless of your Necromancer build.

9. Hemomancy – Blood Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Three Eternity
  • Your attacks deal 80% of your Maximum Life as Physical damage to nearby enemies. This can only occur once every four seconds. You heal for 1% of your Maximum Life for each enemy damaged this way.

Hemomancy is a great Necromancer Vampiric Power, especially if you are using any kind of blood build. In my experience, Necromancer blood builds work extremely well with keeping you at 100% Life as well as Fortify, so the fact that Hemomancy gives you 80% bonus Physical damage of your Maximum Life is great, and you get to heal which is even better.

8. Undying – All Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: One Eternity
  • Casting Skills heals you for 3% Life. Double this bonus while below 50% Life.

Similar to Resilience and Hemomancy, Undying is a great Vampiric Power if you want to stay alive. Undying is a bit stronger in my opinion because you’ll always be casting Skills regardless of your Necromancer build and more Life is always a good thing.

7. Feed the Coven – Summoner Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: 1 Eternity
  • Lucky Hit: Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar attacks have up to a 60% chance to restore 10 Primary Resource to you and increase your Damage by 10% for 4 seconds.

Feed the Coven is a great Vampiric Power to have if you are using a summoner Necromancer build. Your entire army of minions have a 60% chance to restore 10 Primary Resource to you and increase your Damage by 10% for four seconds, and they get that 60% chance every time they land a Lucky Hit. Coven’s Fangs is admittedly better, but having both Vampiric Powers equipped as a Necromancer summoner can be powerful.

6. Coven’s Fangs – Summoner Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Two Divinity
  • Your Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar attacks deal 52% increased damage to Crowd Controlled enemies. Lucky Hit: Your Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar have up to a 30% chance to inflict Vampiric Curse when hitting enemies.

While Feed the Coven is good, Coven’s Fangs is the best Vampiric Power for summoner Necromancer builds. As long as you Crowd Control enemies, your army of minions will deal 52% more damage. They also have a passive 30% chance to inflict Vampiric Curse on Lucky Hits. Coven’s Fangs makes your summoner Necromancer build much better.

5. Bathe in Blood – Shadow Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Three Divinity, three Eternity
  • While Channeling a Skill, you form a pool of blood beneath you. While Channeling a Skill in a pool, your Channeled Skills deal 40% increased damage and you gain 30% Damage Reduction. A pool can only form once every 8 seconds.

Bathe in Blood is a good Vampiric Power but only for shadow Necromancer builds. The only Channeled Skill Necromancers have is Decompose which is a Shadow-oriented skill. If you plan on using Decompose, Bathe is Blood is excellent to buff its damage. If you aren’t using Bone Spirits, skip Bathe in Blood as you won’t be able to proc it.

4. Prey on the Weak – All Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Two Ferocity
  • You deal 16% increased damage to Vulnerable enemies. Enemies are Vulnerable while affected by a Vampiric Curse from your other Vampiric Powers.

There are many Necromancer builds that focus primarily on Vulnerable which makes Prey on the Weak one of the best Necromancer Vampiric Powers you can get. Vampiric Curse makes enemies Vulnerable and you deal increased Vulnerable damage. What’s not to like?

3. Blood Boil – Blood Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Six Eternity
  • When your Core Skills Overpower an enemy, you spawn 3 Volatile Blood Drops. Collecting a Volatile Blood Drop causes it to explode, dealing 60% Physical damage around you. Every 20 seconds, your next Skill is guaranteed to Overpower.

Blood Boil is another great Vampiric Power specific to a Necromancer build and that build is any blood build. This is because the only Necromancer skills that provide Overpower, which is needed to proc Blood Boil, are Tides of Blood and Rathma’s Vigor. Supposedly there is some Overpower in some Bone skills, but Blood builds work best with Blood Boil and this Vampiric Power is great for adding extra AoE damage and more consistent Overpower.

2. Metamorphosis – All Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Two Ferocity, two Divinity, two Eternity
  • When you Evade you turn into a cloud of bats, becoming Unstoppable for four seconds. Enemies along your path take 160% Physical damage and are inflicted with Vampiric Curse.

Metamorphosis is a powerful Vampiric Power for any class, but it works especially well for Necromancers because their movement abilities are limited. Being able to become Unstoppable when you Evade and escape surrounding enemies by turning into bats while dealing damage is just too good.

1. Moonrise – All Necromancer builds

  • Pact Requirement: Six Ferocity
  • Hitting an enemy with a Basic Skill grants you 4% Attack Speed for 10 seconds, stacking up to five times. Upon reaching maximum stacks, you enter a Vampiric Bloodrage, gaining 160% Basic Skill damage and 15% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.

The best Vampiric Power for Necromancers in Diablo 4 is Moonrise. Moonrise works really well with any class, but I recommend it for any Necromancer build because Basic Skills are generally the bread and butter of Necromancer builds. Gaining Attack Speed is great and entering Vampiric Bloodrage will make your attacks even more powerful, which is something Necromancers tend to lack.
