BioWare Edmonton working on a new IP

While BioWare Montreal works on the next Mass Effect, the Edmonton fellows are busy making some kind of new IP. What kind? I don’t know, because this is E3 2014 and the teasing of minimal information is a hot new trend.

As with the Mass Effect stuff, there was little in the way of concrete details being shared. The new IP will “build a world as big and imaginative as everything [BioWare] has done before,” but still have a contemporary story.

They seem to still be at the stage of asking “What are the environments like? What are cities like?” so it’s pretty early on as far as can be ascertained from the EA event. They want a fictional world that feels alive and is constantly changing.

And … that was about it. Very vague stuff.
