Blizzard’s next game will be free-to-play

As per a report in Develop, Blizzard will take the free-to-play approach to an “as yet unnannounced” game.
The details have come from an unnammed source, who has said that the studio wants to expand its business practices to create premium subscription as well as “freemium” games.
Following a drop in numbers for Blizzard’s flaghsip MMO World of Warcraft, the studio has made the game free up until level 20. Presumably, the move has been successful enough to warrant further interest.
Blizzard is currently working on Diablo 3, which is widely expected to launch within the next three months, as well as the mysterious ‘Project Titan’ of which details are unknown.
