An expanded edition of Blood Bowl featuring 12 new teams has been announced by Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive.

The ‘Legendary Edition’ also promises numerous updates and bug fixes, a brand new single-player story mode and (thank heavens) an improved tutorial. We rather liked the original Blood Bowl, so more on-field, fantasy carnage is welcome news. Release is tentatively scheduled for late 2010.

Pricing details and online compatibility between ‘original’ and ‘legendary’ versions have not yet been disclosed, causing some concern amongst those who paid upwards of £30 GBP for the first game. We’ve contacted a representative from Focus for more information, so stay tuned for further updates.
