Is Dave the Diver compatible with the Steam Deck?
Luckily, the answer is yes, you can play Dave the Diver on the Steam Deck! All Steam Games have a certain verification status as to whether they’re optimized for Valve’s handheld device or not. The good thing is that Dave the Diver has the verified stamp of approval for your Steam Deck. This means you can play it immediately without having to tweak any of the settings.
When I booted up Dave the Diver for the first time on my new Steam Deck, I didn’t have to change a thing in the settings. It feels and plays perfectly fine, so I wouldn’t worry. Any game that Valve deems ‘Verified’ is instantly playable.

If you have a game that’s ‘Playable’, that means you’ll need to fiddle with the settings to make it run alright. Valve doesn’t consider ‘Unsupported’ games playable on the Steam Deck. On the bright side, you can still play these games, but you’ll definitely have to change the settings to work for you. But if it says ‘Unknown’, that means Valve hasn’t checked that game.
