Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is ready to arrive on the global market on June 7 (North America) and June 9 (Europe) on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. EA decided to add a little more musical interest into the game’s general hype, by calling Chvrches for help in order to create a powerful theme song for the title.
Chvrches have composed an original song for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst called “Warning Call”, with Lauren Mayberry on the lyrics. The song has been written from Faith’s perspective, the game’s main protagonist.
“We were honored to be asked to contribute to the soundtrack for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst,” the band’s Iain Cook said in a press release. “The sound of Chvrches’ music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror’s Edge world, and we feel that the song complements the drama, emotion and empowering themes of Faith’s story.”
