Cyberpunk 2077: How to complete Talent Academy (Should you accept Fiona’s offer?)

Is the deal worth it?

Cyberpunk 2077 is fantastic for sticking players in the middle of tough choices, where their morality and ethical attitudes are tested and put on display. Most of the time, players will be held accountable and will have to deal with the consequences of their actions. There are no good choices in Night City, only consequences. In Talent Academy, you are faced with another such choice. What will you do?

Talent Academy Guide

Talent Academy is a rather simple side job that’ll have you shooting your way through yet another building of enemies. Note that this side job is only available as part of the Phantom Liberty DLC, and only after completing The Damned job. To begin, Mr. Hands will contact you once you’ve headed to the marked location on your map. He’ll talk to you about the job.

Head to his contact to receive a briefing on what’s going on and to receive your alias. Go down the elevator and talk to the receptionist. You will be prompted to grab a drink, but it’s not necessary, even with Silverhand’s endorsement. Walk into the main room after reception. You will find an elevator protected by two guards in the hallway under the ‘Draft 2077’ wall. The easiest way to get to the lower level is to simply charge past the guards and call the elevator down. This will trigger the guards.

Now on the lower level, follow the quest guide on your minimap to Fiona’s Office. There will be lots of guards in your way, so before you reach the lower levels make sure your weapon of choice is selected. To help deal with the many guards, quick hacks that blind or paralyze will seriously take the pressure off you here. Make sure to have one or both of those equipped. Alternatively, you can charge past them all while you follow the path on your minimap.

Once in Fiona’s Office, you’ll notice a kid rifling through the draws. Ask him why he’s there before attempting to steal the data. Before the data is fully downloaded, Fiona will interrupt you. Talking to her will lead you down to a final choice.

Fiona’s Offer

Fiona offers you a choice after you’ve had your chat. She offers that they do a ‘controlled leak’, which will protect her primary clients and get you some data. It is up to you to accept or decline the offer.

There is no in-game consequence for choosing one over the other. You will get the exact same rewards from either choice. The only difference between the two is that you will be under assault from more guards if you decline the offer, but you shouldn’t have a problem taking them down. This choice is purely for roleplay reasons, so what will you decide?
