The Dead Islands is a new weapon you can find in Dead Island 2 Haus. While the weapon itself may not be anything too special, the journey of getting it is a ton of fun.
How to solve the Path of the Unworthy
To start the Lost & Found quest for the Dead Islands, you need to have completed The Search for Truth main quest. Once that’s done, you can go back to the Serling Hotel and find the first clue on top of the big marble desk next to where you spawn in the area. It’s a small polaroid photo, so it can be tricky to find at first.

Clue #1 – Invitation for a Failure
The first clue will show you a picture of a circle of flowers, so you need to head to this location. You can find it in the recreation of the suburban neighborhood. Once you’re in this area, look to the first house on the left and go around it to the right. You should see the flowers there and, on approach, a zombie called Taliah the Unworthy will appear. Kill the zombie and you’ll get the next clue.
Clue #2 – Evaluation of Inadequacy
The next clue doesn’t come with a photo, unfortunately, but it’s also pretty straightforward. The key part of the clue is the phrase highlighted in red. Simply put, the solution is to head over to the second house on the right-hand side of the area. Head up to the attic where you’ll find a corpse and the next clue. This is where the hunt for the Dead Islands in Dead Island 2 gets a little trickier.
Clue #3 – Game One: Follow, Puke, Flush
This clue is far more cryptic than either of the other two. But the key things to look out for are the phrase Follow, Puke, Flush, and the sample of club music. This is telling you to go down into the weird club area below the suburban recreation. We’re specifically needing to go into the toilets down there. You’re looking for the toilets that branch off into two mini areas. One has a cubicle with a gap in the wall that lets you pass through to the other side. And the other will have a Slobber waiting. You’ll want to kill the slobber first and then investigate the stalls here to find the next clue.
Clue #4 – Game Two: Listen, Crawl, Burn
The next clue leads you over to the forest at the opposite end of the estate. There’s no specific location you can glean from the clue other than the title referring to one of the two pyres. You’ll want to head to the one on the south end of the map where you’ll find the final clue next to a body nearby.
Clue #5 – Game Three: Kill, Steal, Absolution
This final clue doesn’t involve you needing to go anywhere. Once you read it, an enemy called Marco The Final Test shows up, and you’ll need to defeat him. Then after Marco is dealt with, another enemy called Ezra The Last Failure will appear. Ezra will drop a key to a chest that holds our prize.
Head back to the house where you had to go for the second clue and use the key on the locked chest just to the right of the corpse. Inside, you’ll find the Dead Islands, which is a brand new unique mace In Dead Island 2 Haus featuring a neat globe of the earth.
