Diablo 3 anniversary brings more Legendary items

Diablo 3

Diablo 3 is two years old. Hard to believe isn’t it. To celebrate the anniversary of the game’s release Blizzard are going to be dropping more goodies for anyone playing over the next week until 22 May.

On offer there will be double the number of Rift Fragments as well as 100% boost with the chance to find Legendary items. If Legendaries have been eluding you then now would be a great time to see what you can find.

It does leave us wondering exactly what “100% boost to their chance to find Legendary items” means as there’s no maths to back up numbers. Flux over on Diablo: IncGamers points out the current Diablo 3 Legendary drop rates which are as follows:

  • Normal: 0% Legendary drop bonus, 25% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Hard: 0% Legendary drop bonus, 25% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Expert: 0% Legendary drop bonus, 25% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Master: 0% Legendary drop bonus, 25% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 1: +15% Legendary drop bonus, +44% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 2: +32% Legendary drop bonus, +65% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 3: +52% Legendary drop bonus, +90% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 4: +75% Legendary drop bonus, +119% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 5: +101% Legendary drop bonus, +151% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.
  • Torment 6: +131% Legendary drop bonus, +189% bonus in Nephalem Rifts.

Without breaking it down completely, and Blizzard being a little cagey on calcs, let’s just assume more will drop.
