DMZ Barter System Explained – How to use the Barter System in DMZ

Wanna trade?

Warzone 2 DMZ Season 3 is here and it has brought a new Barter System. When you aren’t trying to complete the Lead by Example mission, you’ll most likely want to be collecting items to trade at the new Barter System. Here is what the Barter System is in DMZ.

What is the Barter System in DMZ?

The Barter System is a new way to trade in collectible, non-lethal items (like watches, toothpaste, things like that) and trade them in for useful equipment. You can make Killstreaks, Plate Carriers, Backpacks, Self-Revive Kits, Keys, and much more with the Barter system — but you need to know the Recipe.

You can Barter at any Buy Station. Every Buy Station on Al Mazrah and Ashika Island has a new tab to Barter. It’s here that you’ll exchange items for equipment.

Recipes for items don’t change but require you to know what to combine. Recipes aren’t a collectible you find and use — instead, they are lists of item combinations that need to be memorized or referenced often in guides like these.

There are tons of item combinations which means there are a lot of Recipes to know. If you want to know how to make the Skeleton Key, you need to know what items you need to acquire and combine to make it.

That is how the new Barter System works in DMZ. Unfortunately, it’s not a new safe zone where Operators on the map can meet and safely swap items, as cool as that would be. With the new Barter System, you can put the random junk in your pockets to good use instead of trying to exfil and earn XP for your efforts. This will help in the long run when it comes to harder missions that require better gear.
