Team Ninja has revealed DOA 5 Last Round on Steam Won’t Have Soft Engine, or extra levels.

The soft engine was engineered by the studio for more realistic animation, particularly as a solution to this longstanding problem.

The game will also only have PS3 level particle effects, and as we know, online play has been delayed indefinitely.

On the upside, it looks like it will retain 4K support, and have PS4 lighting effects. As to whether Team Ninja could possibly add this features back into PC down the line may depend on how profitable the game is. There’s also a rumor that the specs may have been raised, but there’s no change on the Steam page yet.
