ARK: Survival Ascended – How To Download Mods
Briefly showcased during the recent Xbox Partner Preview, ARK: Survival Ascended is going to once again drop players into the fictional world of cyber-tech and dinosaurs — quite the combination. With any open-world sandbox game, they’re always going to benefit from mods, and some of the biggest successes of this have been Rust and Minecraft.
Now, with Survival Ascended, players will want to know if their beloved mods will be able to port over right away, and if the game even has mod support. Thankfully, Xbox has now confirmed in a blog post, that ARK: Survival Ascended is going to offer an in-game CurseForge browser for full mod support.
CurseForge is very reputable within the modding community, and it’s commonly used for titles such as World of Warcraft and The Sims, amongst others. Here’s what Xbox had to say:
PC players of the original game have had the luxury of playing with mods for the last eight years, and soon that benefit will be available on every platform.
The new in-game CurseForge mod browser, which will be directly accessible from the main menu of the game, will soon be filled with new structures, dinos, maps, decorative pieces, and game modes.
As the game gets released, more mods will appear within the in-game browser, so it should be a breeze to get these implemented into your save!
