Dragon’s Dogma 2: Visit Melve from time to time

After reaching Melve and fending off the dragon during the Readvent of Calamity quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the community will thank you for your help. The next objective in the quest becomes “visit Melve from time to time.” So how do you know when to come back?

The answer is to listen to your pawns. When I was focusing on another quest, my pawn randomly mentioned, “We haven’t visited Melve in quite some time; maybe we should see how they’re getting on.” This was my cue to return to Melve and complete the next step in the Readvent of Calamity questline.

It’s important to note that it took about four to five days after receiving the “visit Melve from time to time” quest step for my pawn to announce this. It may take longer for you, but just be patient. Eventually, your pawn will mention it is time to return to Melve.

Readvent of Calamity: Who should you speak to in Melve?

Once you return to Melve, you may feel lost due to the yellow objective area covering the entire town. Your objective is to be looking for Ulrika, who can be found in the building the farthest north of the town. The game gives you almost zero clues that this is where you should be.

Below is an image of the building you need to find in Melve to progress the Readvent of Calamity quest. Once you enter, a short cutscene with Ulrika will begin.

Where to find Ulrika after she leaves Melve

After entering and speaking with Ulrika, she will flee the village, and it is now your job to go find her. I was lucky during this part as I had a pawn who knew where she was hiding, but you may not be as lucky. Just know that Ulrika can be found in Harve Village.

Once you find her there, you will complete another step in the Readvent of Calamity quest. The remaining parts in the quest will have a waypoint for you, so you shouldn’t have any more problems now that you have completed the “visit Melve from time to time” step.
