EA had some dicey words about their latest top first-person shooters in their slate in their earnings call, namely, Battlefield 4 and Titanfall.
There is a lot of skepticism surrounding Battlefield 4, but EA insists that the game did not suffer from quality or development issues at launch. When problems came up, DICE was there to immediately work on patching things up, and they insist that these issues were unusual for any game. Â EA still points to the drop off of sales from Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 as the reasons for the game’s lower sales compared to its predecessor.
EA is working to make sure that the same mistakes won’t come up for Titanfall. Thus far they’re seeing positive results in the alpha, and they may be set to go into beta soon. You can read the transcript of EA’s earnings call here.
