We’ve barely had enough time to fully digest the exhaustive nature of Battlefield 3’s multiplayer, but EA are already talking about the existence of the next game. It’s not that we’re surprised that Battlefield 4 is on the cards, we’re just a little taken aback that EA are alread prepared to confirm it.
“There is going to be a Battlefield 4”, the publisher has said.
The confirmation came from EA president Frank Gibeau during a keynote at the University of California. Of course, the announcement will only lead to more questions.
Will Battlefield 4 appear on this generation of consoles or the next? Will it be a direct sequel to Battlefield 3? Will DICE learn from their mistakes and provide a day one online experience that actually works across all platforms?
