Experience Extreme Procedural Freeriding In Descenders

Experience Extreme Procedural Freeriding in Descenders

One of my favourite games from last year was a 2.5D arcade running game called Action Henk! from Dutch studio RageSquid. This small team from Utrecht in The Netherlands are back and have just released the first trailer for their new game, Descenders. The game seems to be a downhill mountain bike game with the big selling point being that all the tracks and landscapes are procedurally generated. Building on the tight mechanics and just-one-more-try gameplay that made Action Henk! so addictive, this new title looks like it could be something very special.

The game’s website suggests that there will be three different ways to play the game with corresponding groups already set up on, gaming chat app, Discord. There’s Team Enemy who are all about tricks, Team Arboreal who are focussed on off-road riding, and Team Kinetic who focus on high-speed runs.

We will be keeping a close eye on Descenders as it gets closer to launch and bring you any more news about this exciting new game.
