With the release of Just Cause 3 about a month and a half away, Square Enix is challenging fans to create the launch trailer for the game. The selected winning video will award a handsome $5,000USD prize pack that includes an all new 6th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor-based gaming rig.

Just Cause 3 is a game designed with streamers and content creators in mind,” commented the VP of Brand & European Marketing of Square Enix, Jon Brooke. “To that end, it felt right to offer our fans – who’ve posted over 4 million Just Cause 2 trailers to YouTube since launch – the opportunity to create our launch trailer. It takes a leap of faith to invite your fans to make something as important as your launch trailer, but we’re really excited to see what they come up with.”

To create the video, contestants may use video footage contained within the online Creative Kit provided by Avalanche, or shoot something entirely new. Licensed music from Razihel is also provided to aid in the trailer creation. For those that do not have audio editing software, Cakewalk’s Sonar is available as a free demo through Steam and currently 50% the full version.
The trailer will be judged on three categories: Best Action, Best Use of Audio, and Best Humor. One video will be selected as Best Overall and become the “Official Launch Trailer” of Just Cause 3. The panel of judges is made up of experts from both Square Enix and Avalanche Studios. The best entries in each outlined category will win a prize pack that includes: the latest 6th generation Intel® Core™ processor, Neat Microphones, KRK Monitors, Cakewalk, TASCAM and Epiphone.
The entry deadline is November 12 at 11:59pm GMT. Head over to MyTrailer.JustCause.com to submit your video. Just Cause 3 launched December 1st on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
