Overload Overcharge
Overcharge is Barret’s unique attack, and it takes of time a bit to charge up. This is why you should unlock Overload Overcharge as soon as you can.
This Stat Boost will reduce the charge time for Overcharge, allowing you to use it a lot faster. Since this is one of Barret’s main abilities, you want to upgrade it sooner rather than later.
Arcane Blast
This Synergy Ability works in tandem with Aerith. Arcane Blast has Barret imbue his shots with Aerith’s magic to unleash a devastating ranged attack.
It also causes an effect to give Barret temporary unlimited MP, allowing him to inflict elemental spells at the enemy without any MP cost.
United Refocus
Another great Synergy Ability for Barret in FF7 Rebirth has to be United Refocus. Your partner here is Red XIII, whom Barret is paired with many times during the main quest.
United Refocus has Barret and Red XIII hone their focus to gain a temporary 3-Charge ATB Gauge. I often have trouble raising ATB fast, so United Refocus gives you a needed ATB boost during a tense battle.
Physical Safeguard
Physical Safeguard is a Stat Boost for weapons that are level 4 or higher. Once you attach it to your weapon, it’ll apply the Protect status effect upon entering battle.
You’re essentially getting a free buff every time you enter battle, which is an incredible Stat Boost to have. Protect will increase Barret’s defense, making him impenetrable at the start of combat.
Avalanche Two-Step
One more great Synergy Ability for Barret has to be Avalanche Two-Step. Partnered with Tifa, Barret and her will team up to take down a single enemy.
If the enemy is Staggered, you’ll gain an Attack Power boost, as well as Staggered time extension. You just have to remember to act out this Synergy Ability once the enemy is Staggered for increased benefits.
