To say the release of Final Fantasy XIV was a bit of disater would be an understatement, but a year on the development team are now outlining their plans for the future.
Since the game launched, players who stuck with it have been enjoying their play time for free while the Final Fantasy XIV team sorted out the games major problems. In an update from President/CEO, Yoichi Wada, the development team have decided the time is right to kick the subscription process live once again starting late November/early December.
Producer/Director Naoki Yoshid, who came in to sort out the mess, has also released very detailed design documents in PDF format showing all the changes and improveents that are going in place for the the PC and PS3 version, and they are pretty extensive, covering everything from the graphics engine to map changes and improvements.
