All Frox locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Be careful where you go in the dark.

One of the new overworld bosses in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Frox, makes its home exclusively in the Depths. You can come across this enormous, one-eyed glutton in a wide variety of locations within this intimidating underground area, 40 to be exact. Although the Frox makes for an imposing presence, its abundant appearances combined with the relative simplicity of its battles allow for easy farming of its materials for rupees, weapon buffs, and upgrades to certain armor pieces. If you want to know about every Frox location in Tears of the Kingdom to make this farming process even easier, then look no further.

Where to find the Frox in Tears of the Kingdom

The Frox, similar to the other overworld bosses, comes in three main variants, each with its own spawning locations. Naturally, the standard Frox variant serves as the weakest of the bunch, and the materials it drops tend to pale in comparison to its brethren. Surprisingly, though, the Frox is actually slightly less common than the other variants, with only 12 locations across the Depths.

I have scoured the Depths to find the locations of all 12 Frox in TotK. Use the map below and note that every red marker notes a Frox location.

Where to find Obsidian Frox in TotK

Next up, we have the Obsidian Frox, a slightly tougher variant with higher health and a tendency to jump on the player more than once in succession. The fangs it drops boast a decent attack power that can come in handy during the mid game and somewhat during the late game.

Residing at 15 separate locations, the Obsidian Frox stands out as the most common Frox variant you’ll find. I find that Frox can be tough to take down if you don’t know what to do — I suggest checking out our how to beat Frox guide if you are new to the hunt.

Where to find Blue-White Frox in TotK

The third and final Frox variant, the Blue-White Frox, is the toughest in the breed, which naturally means that its unique fang drops pack a hefty punch when fused in battle.

I find that the Blue-White Frox are the toughest to fight. However, if you take the strategy you’ve learned from defeating the other Frox, then you’ll defeat the Blue-White Frox easily if you exercise caution. You can discover 13 spawning locations for the Blue-White Frox throughout the Depths by using the image below.

And that is where you can find all the Frox and its variants in Tears of the Kingdom. If you feel ill-equipped, I suggest getting the Mystic Armor set before your next Frox run.
