GAME has set up a schedule of five hands-on sessions with Trion’s Defiance MMO across five different stores. Everyone who takes part in one of these ‘lock-ins’ will get food and refreshments, as well as a beta key with which to continue their character development when the Defiance beta opens on 21 March.

The dates and locations for the five UK stores are as follows:

  • Sunday 17th March Sheffield — Evolution, The Plaza, 8 Fitzwilliam Street, Sheffield S1 4JL
  • Monday 18th March Manchester — Walkabout, 13 Quay Street, Manchester, M33 HN
  • Tuesday 19th March Birmingham – Walkabout, Langley Bldg, Regency Wharf, 266a-271 Broad St, Bs 2ds
  • Wednesday 20th March Peterborough – Solstice Bar, Northminster Rd, Town Centre, Peterborough, PE1 1YN
  • Thursday 21st March London – The Assembly House, 292-4 Kentish town Rd, Camde London NW 52TG

According to the press release, to join in with one of these you just need to “pop in to your local store or send them a tweet.” You’ll also need to be 18 or over.

In other Defiance-related information, Trion has released a new trailer for the game. It features a selection of weapons for your heroes that I’m pretty sure would normally be considered war crimes waiting to happen.

The game is due for a full release on 2 April.
