Gearbox’s creative director, Mike Neumann, has spoken about the possibility of a Borderlands sequel.
While talking to VG247, Neumann initially laughed at the question of a possible follow-up, then confirmed that the idea had occurred to developers, and is quite likely due to the game’s popularity so far:
“Everyone here loves the franchise, and it seems like the public is really coming back with praise and love. So yeah, if everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me.”
He also confirmed that Gearbox is working on DLC for the first game right now. The first instalment, “Related to this article “ will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on 24 November, with the PC DLC following later. No date has yet been given.
