Flameplume Starflowers is one of the activities in the Lantern Rite 2022 event in Genshin Impact. In it, you’ll try to get Keqing to lighten up. Moreover, you’ll acquire a means of creating your own fireworks. The Blazing Stars Ring in Fortune quest
The initial quest for the Flameplume Starflowers activity in Genshin Impact is fairly straightforward. You’ll talk to Ningguang, followed by Keqing. It seems that Keqing is quite a workaholic, so you’ll have to speak with Zhongli about it. He’s dining with Hu Tao and Xiangling when you meet up with him. Eventually, you’ll be given the Launch Tube gadget.
Launch Tube gadget: Production Challenge
Once you’ve deployed it, you’ll see that the Launch Tube gadget in Genshin Impact has two commands. The first one lets us smelt fireworks, which is what we’re supposed to do now. At the moment, there are a couple of challenges here: “The Mountain Clouds Let Down Golden Rain” and “The Silver Night is Full of Stars.” Select one and let’s get to it.
Our goal here is to make sure that the three parameters — color, size, and height — have optimal values. To do this, you’ll need to choose Smelting Techniques. For the first one, pick Nitpicker, and just press “Single Smelt” for each category until the progress bar hits the golden outline. If you do it right, you should obtain a rating of 3,000 points. Then, click on “Complete Smelting” to get this part done.
Note 1: Each Smelting Technique and action costs Endurance. If it runs out and you haven’t hit the sweet spots yet, you’ll want to redo the process.
Note 2: The temperature (upper-right) also factors in. The hotter it is, the bigger the bonuses you’ll receive for each action.
However, in subsequent challenges such as “The Silver Night is Full of Stars,” the parameters all have different sweet spots. Likewise, you’ll unlock new Smelting Techniques. Due to a bit of randomness in the process (as well as bonus progress that can be triggered), you might go overboard with some of these values. If this occurs, you might want to cancel the process and redo it. In my case, however, I decided to use the following:
- Color – Meticulousness to hit the sweet spot.
- Size and Height – These should gain a bit of progress due to Meticulousness. You can then pick Decisive Boldness for a huge addition or Tactile Sensitivity for smaller increments.
Rewards
Go back to the Flameplume Starflowers event panel in Genshin Impact to see the rewards. You should be able to pick u primogems, mora, ores, Affluence Talismans, and unique fireworks. The Affluence Talisman currency is used in the event shop for rewards, including a free Ningguang outfit and free 4-star characters. Meanwhile, the fireworks are used for the Launch Tube’s other function.
Launch Tube gadget: Using your fireworks
This is the Launch Tube’s second function. As you can see in the image below, you can select up to 10 fireworks (even the same kinds multiple times). You may also set the intervals and delays. The other plans (i.e., Plan 2 and Plan 3) are sort of like “loadouts” that you can swap to.
When you’re ready, you can press “Begin Launching.” After a few seconds, fireworks will burst from the gadget and light up the nearby area.
You could even fast travel as long as it’s just a very short distance away. This lets you take decent photo mode screenshots if you time it right.
