Carven Palace: The basement and activating the Nervepass
Remember that part in the Carven Palace’s basement with the chasm and shadow orb? The grapple move will now let us traverse this area.
The idea here is to air dash and grapple to avoid the barbed wire. You should find a few ladders and ledges to help you as you make your way down. You’ll also find the Celebration Hands armor piece in one of the nooks near a ladder here.
Eventually, you’ll be at a spot with barbed wire, a shadow orb, and a hand ledge that you can pull. Pull the ledge first, then drop and air dash to land on it.
Before we go to the elevator, let’s take a long way around. There’s a cave system here with several nooks and small rooms.
Try to explore this area to obtain the Formal Coda armor set. Just watch out because there are lots of Servant, Rabideye, and Follower mobs here.
If you follow the loop going down and to the left, you’ll exit back to the main area with the elevator shaft. Pull the switch and it’ll come down.
Note: If you ride the elevator going up and jump to the left, you can reach a ledge that has the Celebration Legs armor.
Anyway, our final objective here is to go further left from where the elevator is. You’ll spot a Puppet here, and you need to kill it to activate the Nervepass. This will let you fast travel to the Worldpillar or Feaster’s Lair.
Lastly, the passageways further down take you to Grime‘s Garden zone. It’s part of the next quest from Shidra, and we’ll discuss it in our Garden guide.
