A host of new activities have been added to GTA Online today, as part of the Los Santos Summer Special. This update focuses primarily on vehicles, adding 15 new cars to GTA Online. There are some new races to compete in too, including seven new open-wheel racing events. Outside of the numerous vehicle additions, Rockstar has added eight new casino modes with the Los Santos Summer Special update.
The 15 new cars are available across multiple different garages. The full list covers a range of different vehicle types, and they are available at the Legendary Motorsport garage, the Southern San Andreas garage, and Benny’s motors. Prices for these new rides range from $10,000 to $3.4 million, so you’ll have to see which you can actually afford.
To celebrate two of the open-wheel race cars being added to GTA Online, Rockstar has added some events for them to compete in. There are seven new open-wheel race events, but Rockstar didn’t stop there. You can also design your own street circuits in the new Open Wheel Race Creator. That gives some nice flexibility on where you can test out your new cars.
Life of luxury
If luxury is more your lifestyle, the Los Santos Summer Special update does add some good stuff. The Diamond Casino & Resort will now host eight new adversary modes, suitable for 4-8 players. Yachts are also getting some more functionality, too. Galaxy Super Yacht owners will be able to engage in an all-new series of missions, either alone or with up to three shipmates. These consist of deep-sea diving and high-speed maneuvers out at sea.
Business battles are also a new feature. These revamped competitions are taking place at new locations across the map, providing co-operative missions to partake in. Currently, they’re carrying hugely increased rewards too, with the Pink Dot Tech Mask up for grabs until August 19. Here’s a developer synopsis of the new update:
