Xbox Game Pass is a treasure trove of great games and discoveries, and anime games are getting a big spotlight. Xbox’s show at Tokyo Game Show 2022 showed off some excellent games coming to Game Pass some time in the future, including the popular anime fighters Guilty Gear: Strive and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle. Of course, Persona fans were treated to a triple threat announcement. Three of the most popular Persona games will soon join Game Pass: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal.

Guilty Gear: Strive is one of the more accessible and popular anime fighting games to come out recently. It’s bolstered by some insane anime visuals and a charming roster, making it a great fit for the Xbox Game Pass, which has a noticeable lack of fighters. Meanwhile, Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle is a crossover of a few, slightly lesser-known fighting games: Blazblue: Central Fiction, Under Night: In-Birth, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Today is a great day to be a Persona fan!

Also shown off during Xbox’s presentation was a trailer for the remastered version of Persona 5 Royal. This marks Persona 5 Royal‘s PC and Xbox debut. Alongside Persona 5 Royal, two other mainline games will also be playable on the Xbox Game Pass. Persona fans will finally be able to play Persona with a bevy of options very soon. While we don’t have dates for when Guilty Gear Strive and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle will be on Game Pass, we know that Persona 5 will be added to the service October 21.

Other games coming to the Xbox Game Pass revealed through the Tokyo Game Show stream are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Deathloop, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and more. A chunk of Xbox’s show at TGS 2022 was dedicated to welcoming more players of Japanese games to the Xbox community, and over the next year, they should have plenty to play.
