HanbitSoft has announced details of the upcoming patch 1.5 for its action RPG game, Hellgate: London, revealing maps of two new areas and screenshots of new content.

The first new area will be the Training Grounds, a new outside starting zone in Hellgate where players learn how to use weapons and fight. Once completed, they will move on to the next new area, the Maritime Museum. This is a huge two-storey building that is likely to become the new base of operations for Hellgate. There are many quests available here, along with other necessities such as the Marketplace and the Arena Terminal. Also announced was a new boss, Arachtonas, and new items.

The screenshots, seen below, reveal the Maritime Museum area and new Guardian weapon, a two-handed sword.

Hellgate: London ceased to operate in Europe and the US from January 2009, and is currently only available to play in Asia. HanbitSoft has stated that it is interested in providing the game elsewhere, but they’re prevented from doing so as Namco Bandai owns the publishing rights to the game in the west, and are apparently uninterested in re-opening any Western servers. However, fans remain optimistic of a return.
