Honkai Star Rail: Best Build for Sushang – Relics, Light Cones, Eidolons and Abilities

Poultry power.

Sushang is a 4-star character from Honkai: Star Rail and is the best character for you if you want to summon a giant chicken. This character has an odd obsession with the world’s best poultry, bringing a giant bird into the fray to dish out some damage. Sushang is a Physical Hunt character, meaning she specializes in dealing single-target damage, which makes her ideal in boss fights where you’ll need a single-target damage dealer. As with any main DPS unit, you’ll need to properly invest in Sushang to help her succeed. Here’s our guide for Sushang and her best build in Honkai: Star Rail.

Sushang is a Hunt character, so we’ll want to pick a Light Cone that best boosts her offensive stats.

  • In the Night: In the Night is a 5-star Hunt Path Light Cone and is generally one of the strongest weapons for any Hunt character in the game. This weapon increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by 18% and increases their Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 6% and the Crit DMG of their Ultimate by 12% based on their speed. Sushang can actually increase her SPD thanks to her Traces, which makes In the Night an ideal option for Sushang with all of the extra buffs it provides.
  • Cruising in the Stellar Sea: Fortunately for Hunt characters, there’s a 5-star Hunt Path Light Cone you can obtain from Herta’s Shop in the Simulated Universe. This weapon is Cruising in the Stellar Sea, and as a free-to-play weapon, is pretty easy to invest in. At maximum refinements, this weapon increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by 16%, up to an additional 16% on enemies with less than 50% HP. Additionally, when the wearer defeats an enemy, they will receive a 40% ATK buff for 2 turns. This is a strong weapon purely for the stat boosts and is a great choice for Sushang as a free-to-play option.
  • Only Silence Remains: If you chose to invest in a different weapon from Herta’s shop, then you can use this 4-star Light Cone as an alternative. It boosts the wearer’s ATK by 16% without any conditions, and also increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by 12% if there are 2 or fewer enemies.

Relics & Eidolons

  • For her 4-piece set, you will want to invest in the Champion of Streetwise Boxing set. This set increases Sushang’s Physical DMG by 10% and increases their ATK by 5% every time they hit an enemy or take a hit, up to 5 times. This is an easy choice for Sushang, as you want the Physical DMG boost and 25% max ATK buff.
  • For her 2-piece set, we recommend using either the Inert Salsotto or Celestial Differentiator set to increase Sushang’s Crit DMG or Crit Rate. Use the set corresponding to whichever stat your Sushang needs more.
  • Sushang’s Eidolon 1 is very useful for keeping Sushang’s damage up after a Weakness Break, as it regenerates a Skill Point when Sushang uses her Skill against a Weakness Broken enemy. Eidolon 4 can be helpful for increasing her Break Effect, and her Eidolon 6 boosts her SPD by a significant amount.
