How to beat and catch Warsect in Palworld

How to beat the big bad bug.

Warsect is a dangerous mini-boss in Palworld that’s a real challenge to add to your collection. This creature is arguably one of the best Pals in the game if you need some muscle on the field. If you don’t have one, let me show you how to beat and catch Warsect in Palworld.

The mini-boss version of Warsect is near the center of the map, north of the Plateau of Beginnings. The exact location is highlighted in the image above, and the closest Fast Travel point is Gobfin’s Turf. This battle takes place in a small arena, and I’ll offer tips on how to beat it in the following section.

You can also find Warsect on the No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary island to the west. I strongly recommend taking a flying Pal if you’re making the journey, as you won’t anger the authorities as long as you stay mounted. The issue with this plan is wild Pals are level 40+, and there’s no Fast Travel point.

Warsect is both Ground and Grass-type with a weakness to Fire. When I challenged Warsect, I had a Pyrin Noct, which made short work of it, but any Fire type will help. Another great option is Vanwyrm, which is common in the volcanic region to the west.

You can also find Vanwyrm a little closer, near the Ravine Entrance Fast Travel point (pictured above).

Even with optimal Pals, Warsect hits like a truck, and you may benefit from tackling it with a friend. Warsect is level 30, and I recommend letting your Pals do most of the work in the battle. Summon your Pal, shoot Warsect with any weapon, and take cover. You can hide behind the pillars around the arena’s edge; just make sure to move if Warsect gets too close. As Warsect hits so hard, it’s a good idea to have multiple Fire Pals to fall back on.

Keeping your distance is critical in this fight, as you won’t do much damage to Warsect by yourself. Focus on staying alive and be ready to swap your Pals out if they get hurt.

Once you’ve got Warsect down to its last 200 HP, you can withdraw your Pal and try to catch it. I had Mega Spheres for my encounter, but use your best, as this Pal has a low catch rate.

How to breed Warsect in Palworld

As Warsect’s home is tough to reach and the boss fight is brutal, breeding one of your own is an attractive option. Helzephyr and Cinnamoth are among the easiest Pals to obtain for breeding a Warsect. Most other combinations require end-game Pals, but you can also use the following:

  • Sweepa + Relaxaurus
  • Pyrin + Elizabee
  • Kingpaka + Beakon
  • Lyleen + Mossanda

Alternatively, if you’re lucky, you can find one in a Huge Rocky Egg, although eggs spawn randomly, so this method is unreliable. Warsect is tricky to obtain, but you’ll love it once it’s yours. If you’re hunting for rare Pals, have you added Eikthyrdeer Terra to your collection yet? Check out our guide if you’ve yet to add this majestic creature to your collection.
