Ditto can disguise itself in the wild, masquerading as other Pokemon. It seems Ditto isn’t interested in donning a ghostly disguise for October. Here’s what you need to keep an eye out for, as Ditto can look like any of these on the world map:

- Corphish
- Grimer
- Litleo
- Roggenrola
- Snubbull
- Starly
- Tympole
Catching any of the Pokemon above doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to be a Ditto. The odds are heavily stacked against you, even if you’re targeting the Pokemon on the list above. Still, if you go out of your way to catch Pokemon that Ditto can use as a disguise, you’ll get your own in no time.
It’s worth mentioning that you won’t know you’ve got a Ditto until it’s caught in your Pokeball. There are no tells during the catch phase. Unfortunately, this means you can’t duck out of encounters once you’ve started them to check. If you’re hunting that Ditto, you’ll likely have to put a dent in your Pokeball reserves.
