How to claim demo and pre-order items in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Start the game with bonus rewards and gear

Just like most games nowadays, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has bonus DLC items available for those who played the demo or pre-ordered the game. These DLC items won’t make you incredibly overpowered, but they’ll be helpful in the opening hours of your journey.

You can even get additional rewards if you’ve played Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the Episode Intermission DLC on PlayStation 5 as well. Having save data present will unlock special Summoning Materia that you can’t get any other way, so longtime fans have a lot to look forward to. You can’t get your bonus DLC right off the bat, though, so you’ll need to play a little bit of the main storyline before you can claim your goods once the game fully unlocks.

To claim your DLC and bonus items, pause the game and head to the System menu. From there, select DLC/Bonuses and you’ll see every DLC item that you have access to. You can also do this from the main menu of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

You won’t be able to claim your DLC items until you complete the Nibelheim flashback at the start of chapter one, however. Once you reach Kalm, however, you can open the menu and add all DLC items to your inventory.

The Nibelheim flashback was featured in the demo of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and you can skip most of it if you have save data from the demo on your system. You can only skip the combat portions of the flashback though, so you’ll still need to explore the town of Nibelheim and experience Sephiroth’s breakdown even if you already did that part in the demo.

All DLC Items in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

There are three different DLC sets you can claim at the beginning of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. If you have save data present for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you’ll get a Leviathan Summoning Materia. If you have save data for Episode Intermission, you’ll get Ramuh Summoning Materia as well. Finally, all players who pre-ordered Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth can claim the Kupo Charm and Survival Set, which gives you the Kupo Charm Accessory and a collection of potions and other healing items.

The Kupo Charm is a great accessory for exploration since it increases your chances of obtaining additional items when gathering crafting materials throughout the world. You’ll be gathering a ton of materials while you explore the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (you can even gather while riding a Chocobo), so having the Kupo Charm equipped will save you a ton of time.
